Since moving to Oceanside from San Diego in June I've had to start somewhat fresh. Spending the last 6 years in San Diego was long enough to establish a life. But moving 50.5 miles away from that life can lead to quite a transition including (but not limited to) no job, no friends, no church, no life. In attempt to re-establish life I started attending
North Coast Church and boldly joined a 20something growth group, where about 13 of us 20somethings from all stages of life intersect, have fellowship, and build relationships. That was the best move I made all year.
The growth group I attend is filled with fun, social, God-loving people. So far this quarter they have gone to an improv comedy club, screamed at the haunted hotel, cooked & served dinner to 70ish homeless people, fired up a bonfire, hosted poker night, celebrated birthdays, and the latest and greatest is participated in the first annual Growth Group Olympics!
As team Unibrow we took home the Bronze Chiwawa. Even Paul b. came out to join us playing 2 games of Ultimate Frisbee and a game of Kickball.

Pre-game stretching.

Lauren is using the football as a prop to make us look athletic!

Paul was a great sport!
He doesn't really know my new friends and he was sporting the uniform including the unibrow!
He was an amazing asset to the team too!
He gets ultimate frisbee defense-man of the year trophy!

Being intimidating.

We will, we will WAX you!

Good times.
